Walter Edward Clough of Chester died March 7, 1992 at his home. He was 75.
Born in Stevensville on May 27,1916, the son of George W. and Hattie (Clash) Clough. He started working on the water with his father at the age of nine. He married Dorothy Clevenger of Grasonville on Dec.3,1937. They were married 54 yrs.
Mr. Clough later worked as a constable and in 1966 became deputy sheriff.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, G. Edward Clough of Chester and W. Junior Clough of Stevensville; three daughters, Elinor Elbourn of Vienna, D. Jean McCombs of Grasonville and Bonnie K. Pierson of Chester; two sisters, Margaret Thomas of Queenstown and Alice Ringgold of Chester. 12 grandchildren and 8 g. grandchildren.
Burial was in the Stevensville Cemetery.
