Kendall Clough (1903-1974)
While doing some browsing for various Clough history the other day, I came across the http://cloughbrengle.homestead.com/ site. According to the website, the Clough-Brengle Co. was founded by Kendall Clough and Ralph Brengle (both formerly associated with the Silver-Marshall Company) in 1932 for the construction of high-grade radio testing equipment, principally for the service field. There is brief mention of the Clough-Brengle company here.
Kendall Clough was President and Chief Engineer. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, Kendall was not listed in the JCGS database and thus represents a new find!
With some help from our President, John Clough, we have preliminary traced Kendall’s grandfather to Edward A Clough (#4146- see footnote), although it appears the record is by no means complete as this Find A Grave entry alludes to. Refer to Edward A Clough- Find A Grave Memorial with Gravestone Photo.
Kendall’s parents are reportedly Willard Oscar Clough and Florence Hanscom. See this link.
Kendall appears to have written many articles (see this Google Search- Kendall Clough +Radio), including this one, Step-By-Step Complete Dynamic Servicing- Page 598. He’s also mentioned on page 36 here.
This one pager shown below reportedly was from Radio Industries (I couldn’t find a direct link), June 1930 edition, and came from the http://cloughbrengle.homestead.com/ site.
