A long letter from Cousin Lucy Clough Patterson, now in Eustis, Florida was filled with news about the various interests that she and Fred enjoy. At 79, the latter busily cultivates his gardens of shrubs and annuals, and boasts of a fine lawn, an achievement in Florida. Lucy does her own baking as a native New Englander should.
Then she serves as corresponding secretary for her DAR Chapter and the garden club. She enjoys the church circle and the Missions Study Group. The painful injury to her back from the automobile accident of two years ago when they were returning to Connecticut for a visit, is greatly improved, yet her doctor refused to allow her to drive the long trip until fall which will prevent their meeting with us at the summer.
