Word was received from Frances Williams (Farmer Fanny) of Marysville, Kansas in November, 1969, saying that she is still active in her D.A.R. Chapter Eastern Star, Church work, Study Club and many other organizations in spite of her eyesight failure. She is also helping to promote the restoration of the only “Pony Express Barn,” that is located near her home in Marysville. It is the only one in the U. S. that is standing today. Our readers will recall the famous Pony Express used to transport mail from coast to coast before the trains were perfected.
